Pick Ups and Shipping Schedule - Spring 2016
Seedling Orders - after April 11, 2016 seedling order forms are no longer accepted. Customers requesting seedlings after April 11th must call the Nursery at (603) 796-2323 to inquire as to availability of seedlings (for species currently sold out see Seedlings or the lower right of this page). County delivery is no longer a shipping option after March 31st; pick up at Nursery and UPS are the only available shipping options.

Spring Lifting - we started lifting the seedlings March 18, 2016; the Nursery crew started the week of March 21, 2016. Our job is to lift the seedlings as soon as the ground thaws, then grade, package and store them in our walk-in cooler before bud break.
Nursery Pickup in Boscawen - customers who chose to pick up their seedlings at the Nursery in Boscawen  (405 Daniel Webster Highway) will be notified by mail that seedlings will be ready for pickup. Beginning Wednesday, April 6, 2016, the Nursery will be open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, April 9th and April 16th, 2016 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Please be sure to pick up your orders by Friday, May 13, 2016.

SOLD OUT:  Blue Spruce 4 year old, American Mountain Ash, American plum, Alternate Leaf Dogwood, Bayberry, Red Oak, Sugar Maple.
LOW INVENTORY:  Aroniaberry, Douglas-fir, Fragrant Sumac, Juneberry, Ninebark, Red Osier Dogwood,  White Pine 3 year old, Winterberry Holly.

As reported last year, we have experienced two open winters which has resulted in losses, particularly the true firs used primarily in the culture of Christmas trees. We have experimented with different mulches and have found a promising fix to the problem of frost heaving. In fact, our 2
year old beds have some of the best looking stock we have seen.  Unfortunately for our Christmas tree customers, it takes a minimum of 3 years to grow a field ready seedling, so one more year will be needed before our saleable numbers of firs will be at good levels again.

Balsam, Fraser, Canaan, and Concolor fir will not be available this year in standalone sales.  We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused our growers.
