SOIL/SITE: Grows well in saturated soils; a small to medium sized shrub with bright red twigs
USES: Good for stream bank erosion control
WILDLIFE VALUE: Fruit preferred by many species of song birds and game birds, browsed by deer, moose, cottontail and snowshoe hare.
FLOWERS/FRUIT: Clusters of white berries in July and August
SEED SOURCE: New Hampshire
