SOIL/SITE: A medium size tree up to 30' tall that grows well in dry soil but prefers rich moist soil.
USES: Recommended spacing is to plant each tree singularly 10 to 20' apart.
WILDLIFE VALUE: Fruit and flowers valuable food for deer, rabbit, ruffed grouse, and 15 species of songbirds, especially grosbeaks and waxwings.
FLOWERS/FRUIT: White flower and red-orange berry clusters - in fruit August into winter.
